Education Programme

The Toastmasters educational programme has been continually developed and refined over eighty years. The Communication and Leadership manual projects build on the skills learnt in preceding projects to develop confidence while growing better communicators and leaders.

This educational programme consists of a number of manuals that focus on different aspects of communication and leadership

Competent Communicator

The 10 projects in this manual cover the basics of public speaking; it gives you the foundations upon which you can develop your speaking skills. The skills you cover in this manual include; getting over nervousness, using voice and gestures, choosing the right words and adding impact through the use of props. See below for more detail on the 15 advanced manuals available. Advanced Communication manuals >>

Leadership

The initial manual covers the roles that you will encounter in the Club as you take part in the meeting or club officer roles.

Advanced leadership

During the advanced leadership programme you are actively taking part in mentoring and teaching your fellow club members. This programme also takes you out of the club into roles supporting a few clubs to being part of the national executive. Leadership Programme >>
